In Short

  • Provide technical support services for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop or mobile systems, workstations, and network issues.
  • Test and evaluate commercial and Laboratory-developed software for quality control and proper operation.
  • Maintain passwords, data integrity, and file system security for the desktop environment.
  • Communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Recommend hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades.
  • Support distributed PC/networking environment.
  • Provide technical, operational, and training support to users of personal computers.
  • Handle a high volume of technical support inquiries.
  • Transition from a teleworking capacity to an on-site role as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience providing technical support services.
  • Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting systems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain data integrity and security.
  • Experience in supporting distributed PC/networking environments.
  • Ability to perform software installation and configurations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for computer problems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years of related experience.
