Operating Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Operating Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems for assigned properties.

In Short

• Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance.
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, pumps, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical and pneumatic equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs as per standards.
• Inspect and maintain engine room and building systems.
• Respond to emergency situations and customer concerns.
• Comply with safety codes and regulations.
• Document and report activities to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Work in varying weather conditions between properties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in building systems maintenance.
• Licenses such as Journeyman or Master Electrician preferred.
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Knowledge of energy management systems.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work extended hours and on-call duties.
• Certification as a Universal Technician may be required.
