Operating Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Operating Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems for assigned properties.

In Short

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform routine assessments and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct repairs on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical and pneumatic equipment.
• Document and report activities to supervisors.

• Perform additional fire and life safety inspections as required.
• Ensure a neat and clean appearance while on property.

Requirements

• Experience in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical maintenance.
• Knowledge of building operations and safety regulations.
• Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
