Overview

The Lead Operating Engineer is responsible for the efficient operations and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for a facility, ensuring maximum reliability and life of these systems.

In Short

• Conduct daily operations and maintenance of building systems.
• Supervise maintenance staff and assign tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance duties.
• Recommend improvements to maintenance programs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• 5+ years of related trade experience.
• Appropriate licenses/permits for trade.
• Valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Basic computing skills.
• Experience with HVAC and building systems.
• Knowledge of energy management systems.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies.
