Operating Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Operating Engineer will be responsible for all MEP-related functions for critical facilities maintenance, ensuring the efficient operation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

In Short

• Responsible for maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Analyze and troubleshoot system malfunctions.
• Install and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Monitor and maintain critical equipment including UPS systems and generators.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
• Maintain records of building operations and engineering logs.
• Work independently or in small teams.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in training and onboarding of contractors.
• Work 8-hour shifts, including potential weekends.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in a data center or critical facility preferred.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Operating Engineer's license or equivalent preferred.
• Certification as a Universal Technician for CFCs preferred.
• Familiarity with Medium Voltage Industrial design builds.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven record of excellent customer service.
