Overview

The Assistant Facility Manager supports the facilities organization at a specific location, ensuring well-managed and maintained buildings while responding to tenant needs and overseeing operations.

In Short

  • Ensure day-to-day operations of the facility are implemented according to policies.
  • Supervise maintenance programs for property conditions and appearance.
  • Respond to requests for maintenance and repairs from occupants.
  • Compile site-specific documentation and reports accurately.
  • Prepare budgets and financial reports related to the facility.
  • Assist in developing capital budgets and maintenance plans.
  • Monitor compliance with insurance requirements for tenants and vendors.
  • Inspect facilities and report findings to the Facility Manager.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants and vendors.
  • Proficient in financial management and building systems.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in facilities management or related field required.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in facility management preferred.
  • Experience in maintenance, construction, or engineering is a plus.
  • CMMS/Work Order Management experience preferred.
  • Ability to read construction specifications and blueprints.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of financial systems like Yardi is a plus.
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) certification recommended.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a professional office environment.
