Overview

The Construction Specialist, Capital Projects provides essential tracking, reporting, and administrative support for all CURE capital projects. This includes compiling financial reports, tracking progress milestones, and maintaining project documentation to ensure effective decision-making. The Capital Projects Specialist will be responsible for cost management, tracking financial activities and producing cash flow forecasts and budget vs actual reports. They will track progress milestones and deadlines. They will utilize project management software to provide regular reports, dashboards and assist the capital projects team in making data-driven decisions. This is remote position on the continent of Africa.

In Short

  • Maintain a standard project management template and keep each project folder up to date.
  • Maintain up to date project budgets and cost reports.
  • Maintain and update GANTT charts and project tracking tools.
  • Liaise with the project team to track and report on project timelines.
  • Assist the project team with documentation and filing of reports.
  • Track and report on project concerns, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Track and reconcile budget vs actuals.
  • Make recommendations for continuous improvement of team processes.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive project data repository.
  • Assist in maintaining the framework for evaluating and prioritizing capital projects.

Requirements

  • Experience with financial reporting and variance analysis for capital expenditures.
  • Certifications in project management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project or other project management software.
  • Minimum of five years of building construction project experience.
  • Experience in hospital/healthcare construction is preferred.
  • Background check will be required, if shortlisted.
  • Proficient in English: Speech and Written Communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
