Engineering Manager - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Engineering team, based in Manila, Philippines. This role will be responsible for managing a team of engineers, overseeing the development and collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, and the Agile Delivery Manager.

In Short

• Manage a team of 4 engineers, including recruitment and onboarding.
• Oversee the development and delivery of features within the assigned product area.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and the Agile Delivery Manager.
• Implement and maintain Scrum methodology with 2-week sprints.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones and team meetings.
• Participate in bi-weekly Stakeholder Demos.
• Manage technical debt and refactoring efforts.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Requirements

• Proven experience in engineering management or team leadership.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop engineering talent.
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment practices.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and containerisation (Kubernetes).
