Staff Software Engineer, Content Delivery - Remote

Overview

As a key member of Crunchyroll's engineering team, you will work on enhancing the Content Delivery system, ensuring scalability and performance while collaborating with various teams.

In Short

• Work with engineers, product managers, and project managers.
• Implement new features and improve scalability.
• Enhance platform availability through monitoring and reporting.
• Optimize server response times of APIs.
• Consider system security in design decisions.
• Research and generate ways to serve customers.
• Lead investigations into critical business processes.
• Document processes and standards for engineering teams.
• Advocate for necessary software creation.
• Experience in media & entertainment is a plus.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong background in media & entertainment.
• Proficiency in Golang.
• Experience with cloud and system components.
• Ability to profile bottlenecks and redesign systems.
• Experience in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Typescript/NodeJS is a plus.
• Knowledge of ElasticSearch and Redis is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
