Commercial Loan Underwriter and Portfolio Manager - Remote

Overview

The Commercial Loan Underwriter & Portfolio Manager is responsible for the ongoing credit risk management, financial analysis, and performance monitoring of a commercial loan portfolio, which includes Small Business Administration guaranteed loans, multi-family residential loans, participation loans, United States Department of Agriculture loans, and commercial real estate loans to current and potential credit union Members.

• Responsible for credit risk management and financial analysis.
• Manage a commercial loan portfolio including SBA and real estate loans.
• Work hybrid-remote with 2 days in-office and 3 days remote.
• Conduct credit investigations and prepare credit memoranda.
• Evaluate commercial loan transactions and provide recommendations.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify risks.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation for borrowers.
• Support process improvement within the Commercial Lending department.
• Must work flexible hours based on business needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years in commercial real estate or consumer lending.
• 2+ years underwriting experience.
• Formal credit training or experience required.
• Experience with online and spreadsheet data processing.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Finance, or related.
• SBA lending experience is a plus.
