Collector - Remote

Overview

We are hiring a Collector who will collect on delinquent loans to minimize loan losses to credit union, while maintaining favorable Member relations.

In Short

• Collect on delinquent loans to minimize losses.
• Maintain positive relations with credit union Members.
• Work a hybrid schedule: 2 days in-office, 3 days remote.
• Flexibility to work varied hours including Saturdays.
• Document all collection activities accurately.
• Respond to Member inquiries promptly.
• Research and analyze Member concerns.
• Make recommendations for loan extensions and charge-offs.
• Ensure compliance with collection laws and regulations.
• Foster effective business relationships with staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in collecting bad debts.
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience with online data processing and collection systems.
• Proficient in MS Office programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of credit and collection laws.
• Strong negotiation and human relations skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated skills in skip tracing and repossession.
