Overview

The Senior SUBS Grant Analyst acts as a central office repository of knowledge for WashU in the research administration area of outgoing subawards, providing expert advice and training while ensuring compliance with internal and external policies.

In Short

• Review and negotiate outgoing sub-awards.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory and compliance rules.
• Provide training and support to faculty and administrators.
• Analyze sponsored research awards for compliance.
• Manage SUBSystem configurations and testing.
• Conduct system testing in multiple environments.
• Prepare and present training materials.
• Manage FFATA reporting.
• Assist with special projects and process improvements.
• Exercise sound judgment in financial matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of experience in research administration.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with accounting processes and systems.
• Proficiency in computerized accounting and word processing.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks.
• Experience in developing proposals and presentations.
