Contract Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Contract Specialist serves as a liaison between University stakeholders and various organizations, managing the negotiation and drafting of research contracts.

In Short

• Manage a large volume contract portfolio from negotiation to close out.
• Draft and negotiate various types of agreements.
• Advise faculty and staff on contractual issues.
• Evaluate risks associated with transactions and agreements.
• Maintain awareness of regulatory changes impacting contracts.
• Ensure high-level service support to principal investigators.
• Maintain electronic records and ensure data integrity.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Complete multiple tasks under deadline pressure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• J.D. - Juris Doctor required.
• 5 years of relevant experience required.
• Experience in research administration or contract negotiation preferred.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with sound judgment.
• Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
• Proficient in drafting agreements and policies.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
