Billing/Scheduling Associate II - Neurology - Remote

Overview

The Billing/Scheduling Associate II will be responsible for scheduling and registering patients over the phone, obtaining insurance information, and providing financial counseling to patients.

In Short

• Schedule and register patients via phone with no direct patient contact.
• Obtain and explain insurance information and referral forms.
• Assist with scheduling urgent or referred patient calls.
• Provide patient scheduling services including demographics and insurance registration.
• Make appointment reminders and process internal referrals.
• Handle inquiries from patients regarding billing and insurance.
• Assist with basic account maintenance activities.
• Work with a patient reminder system for scheduling changes.
• Perform daily edits to provider scheduling templates based on physician input.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to enhance scheduling efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Familiarity with billing systems and Epic EHR.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience in medical office support is preferred.
• Understanding of financial information and insurance processes.
• No specific certification required.
