Polysomnographic Technologist (PRN/Remote)

Overview

The Sleepy Brain Lab focuses on novel markers and interventions for neuropsychiatric disorders and involves interaction with patients with altered levels of consciousness.

In Short

• Assist investigators as a polysomnographic technician for clinical research studies.
• Set up, calibrate and monitor recording equipment for PSG, MSLT, NPT, and CPAP/BIPAP.
• Recognize and record clinically relevant events.
• Interpret polysomnogram data and interview patients for sleep history.
• Handle inquiries from patients and physicians.
• Prepare for patients in high-risk situations.
• Aid in training new trainees and supervise outpatient activities.
• Check inventories and order supplies as needed.
• Assist with general maintenance and organization of the lab area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• Basic Life Support certification required within one month of hire.
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) preferred.
• No specific work experience required.
• Skills in equipment operations and maintenance.
