The Hospitalist Coding Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting clients' financial health goals through accurate coding practices in various specialties.

In Short

  • Provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for multiple specialties.
  • Must be a certified coder (AAPC or AHIMA).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Hospitalist coder required.
  • Experience with ProFee and E/M leveling is essential.
  • Work from home with independent coding skills.
  • Maintain productivity and accuracy rates of 95% or higher.
  • Comply with ethical coding standards and company policies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills required.

Requirements

  • Certified through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P).
  • At least 6 months of on-the-job coding experience.
  • Reliable internet connection and current coding materials.
  • Ability to manage emails and schedule meetings using Outlook.
  • Ability to analyze, observe, and meet deadlines.
  • Must maintain quality scores of 95% or higher.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Must be able to lift and move materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to perform work at a computer terminal for extended periods.
