Communications and Community Manager - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Communications and Community Manager for CORRECTIV.Starthub. As the heart of our network, you will hold everything together!

In Short

• Build and expand an online community of local community media entrepreneurs in Germany.
• Support users of our community engagement platform beabee, from onboarding to successful project implementation.
• Implement and further develop our communication strategy across various channels.
• Update our websites and marketing materials.
• Plan and lead events and workshops on community journalism.
• Develop formats and resources to promote community journalism methods.

Requirements

• Passion for innovations in local journalism and community-centered approaches.
• 1-3 years of professional experience in a media or civil society organization, preferably in a startup environment.
• Experience in community engagement management or organizing.
• Strong user-centered thinking and a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English.
• Proficient with various tools (e.g., CRM, CMS, Canva) and willingness to learn new tools.
• Able to solve problems creatively and independently.
• Ability to prioritize independently based on agreed team objectives.
