Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Senior Accountant will support all areas of accounting, including General Ledger and Accounts Payable/Receivable, primarily based out of the St. Thomas Ontario office with potential for hybrid remote work arrangements.

In Short

• Assist with month-end close activities
• Completion of adjusting journal entries and account reconciliations
• Reconciling daily bank transactions
• Capital Spend tracking / Fixed Asset administration
• Inventory reporting and analysis
• Daily Sales / AR importing
• Cost Centre analysis and ad-hoc reporting
• Supporting the annual budget process
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Support accounts payable with general ledger account coding and purchase order review

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business or related field
• Enrolled in CPA Program
• Minimum 3 years of related professional experience
• Strong communication/interpersonal skills in English
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Exposure to Sage 300 is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task and work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Willingness to learn and develop within the organization
