Overview

This position is responsible for performing raw materials inventory management planning as part of the procurement team.

In Short

• Maintaining optimal raw material inventory levels using MRP and lean inventory management tools
• Placement, management, and entry of purchase orders, as well as communicating purchase order status with suppliers
• Performing root cause analysis on delivery failures
• Coordinating inventory transfers between facilities and customer expedite requests
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to accomplish plant business goals
• Collaborate with various teams including Customer Experience and Response, Operations Planning, and Finance
• Lead defined, medium-sized projects
• Analyze and report inventory levels to plan and recommend corrective actions
• Develop and implement effective processes for new product offerings
• Promote safety and ensure a safe work environment

Requirements

• Requires a 4-year degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years’ experience in purchasing or equivalent supply chain experience
• Ability to define problems, collect data, analyze data, and implement improvements
• Solid understanding of information systems supporting supply chain operations
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and databases
• Project management experience preferred
• Experience using lean tools and techniques preferred
