Overview

The EP Special Procedure Technician provides direct care for patients undergoing heart and vascular procedures, assisting physicians and ensuring quality patient and family-centered care.

• Full-time position with a sign-on bonus of $7000.
• Works at Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital, a major teaching and research hospital.
• Provides pre, intra, and post-procedural care for patients.
• Responsible for IV starts, patient preparation, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Operates medical equipment and documents procedures.
• Delivers patient/family education regarding procedures.
• Requires completion of an accredited radiography program or equivalent training.
• 1 year of experience in Electrophysiology (EP), Cath Lab, or Interventional Radiology (IR) is required.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and relevant RT certifications are required.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited radiography program.
• Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program or equivalent.
• Clinical experience required through graduation.
• 1 year of EP, Cath Lab, or IR experience.
• BLS certification upon hire; ACLS within 6 months.
• Registered RCES/RCIS/RT certification preferred.
• IABP certification may be required.
• Ability to provide patient education.
• Must comply with vaccine requirements for on-site work.
