Test Engineer / QA - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and open-minded Test Engineer / QA for our renowned client in the insurance sector in the Bern area.

In Short

• Planning, development, and execution of manual and automated tests to ensure software quality.
• Analysis of requirements and specifications to identify potential sources of errors.
• Creation and maintenance of test cases, test plans, and test documentation.
• Conducting regression tests, performance, and load tests.
• Identification, documentation, and tracking of bugs in the bug tracking system.
• Collaboration with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders for continuous optimization of testing processes.
• Support in the implementation and further development of test automation strategies.
• Ensuring compliance with quality standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in software testing, test automation, and quality assurance.
• Knowledge of testing methods, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, Postman, JIRA, etc.).
• Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript (advantageous).
• Understanding of agile development processes (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices.
• High quality awareness, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Team player, strong communication skills, and independent working style.
• Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
