NetApp Storage Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and open-minded NetApp Storage Engineer for our client in the IT services industry in Zurich.

In Short

• Experience as a Senior NetApp Engineer focused on project work (no admin tasks)
• Technical implementation: Concept development, installation, configuration, and documentation of NetApp storage systems
• Project use cases include NetApp FAS System with S3 connection
• 10x NetApp FAS/C-Series with NFS connection
• Independent work within the project team
• Collaboration with the respective team

Requirements

• Completed education or degree in Computer Science or similar
• Several years of experience in the administration and operation of NetApp systems (FAS / AFF)
• In-depth knowledge of ONTAP (ideally including Clustered ONTAP)
• Proficient with storage protocols like NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, Fibre Channel
• Understanding of network topologies, VLANs, routing, load balancing in the storage environment
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery concepts
• Knowledge in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate processes is a plus
• Experience with monitoring and analysis tools
