DevOps Engineer Storage Backup - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and open-minded DevOps Engineer Storage Backup for our client in Bern.

In Short

• Ensure secure and stable operation of the storage and backup infrastructure within a DevSecOps model.
• Independently handle service requests and incidents.
• Monitor and optimize systems using monitoring and event management tools.
• Implement changes and continuously improve existing processes.
• Maintain and further develop the knowledge database.
• Work closely with Product Owners and Scrum Masters in an agile setup.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science (EFZ or studies) or a career changer with appropriate training and professional experience.
• Solid experience in storage management and backup solutions.
• Very good knowledge of working with NetApp (installation, configuration, performance tuning).
• In-depth knowledge of Commvault (backup, recovery, archiving).
• Familiarity with SAN/NAS architectures and protocols such as NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI.
• Experience with automation (e.g., using Python or Bash).
• Knowledge in cloud storage solutions and hybrid infrastructures.
• Routine in dealing with monitoring tools and troubleshooting complex storage environments.
• Fluent in German and English.
