Safety & Health Officer - Remote

Join our team at Convergint Federal Solutions as a Safety & Health Officer, where you will implement and manage a comprehensive safety and health program ensuring a secure working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.

In Short

• Remote position with up to 50% travel nationally and internationally.
• Responsible for overseeing safety and health programs in compliance with regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Facilitate safety training and emergency response planning.
• Collaborate with project managers and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA standards.
• Lead safety meetings and maintain detailed safety records.
• Promote a culture of safety within the organization.
• Develop and implement strategies to manage risks.
• Prepare safety reports for regulatory authorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or related field.
• 5 years of construction industry safety experience.
• Completion of EM 385-1-1 training course.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• United States Citizenship required.
• Active Driver’s License.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications (CSP, CIH, CHMM) are a plus.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
