CFS is seeking a Safety & Health Officer. The position will be remote with up to 50% travel nationally and internationally. The SHO will be responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining a comprehensive safety and health program that ensures a secure working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors. This role is critical in safeguarding our people and assets, complying with regulations, and maintaining a culture of safety.

In Short

• Ensure all safety and health policies align with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain the role of Safety and Health Officer (SHO) as a full-time position.
• Conduct regular inspections of job sites and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 requirements.
• Lead investigations into accidents and safety incidents.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs.
• Maintain detailed records of safety activities.
• Promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop safety plans.
• Ensure all workers are trained to identify and mitigate hazards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or related field.
• Minimum of five years of construction industry safety experience.
• Completion of the 40-hour EM 385-1-1 training course.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• United States Citizenship.
• Active Driver’s License.
