UXO Safety Officer - Remote

Overview

AECOM is seeking a creative, highly talented UXO Safety Officer for employment on Guam, responsible for implementing explosives and health and safety plans in accordance with applicable regulations.

In Short

• Implement explosives and health and safety plans.
• Ensure compliance with DoD and local requirements.
• Analyze risks associated with MEC-related activities.
• Conduct safety inspections and document results.
• Verify compliance with explosives safety requirements.
• Enforce personnel limits and safety distance arcs.
• Make final safety status determinations of discovered MEC.
• Participate in pre-employment fitness for duty exams.
• Complete required OSHA and HAZWOPER training.
• Work in a dynamic environment with hybrid options.

Requirements

• High school diploma + 4 years of experience.
• Current driver’s license.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
• 8-hour OSHA Supervisor training.
• Military EOD or accredited UXO technician training.
• Experience in MEC-related activities.
• Understanding of explosives safety criteria.
• 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety training.
• Preferred: Explosive Ordnance Disposal certificate.
