Overview

The HR Officer role supports the HR Business Partners in delivering a professional HR service, focusing on employee relations, recruitment, and operational HR activities across all South African offices.

In Short

  • Support HR Business Partners with operational HR issues.
  • Handle employee relations documentation and processes.
  • Guide line managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in onboarding and recruitment activities.
  • Provide administrative support for HR events.
  • Coach and mentor the HR Administration team.
  • Promote teamwork and communication within HR.
  • Support countrywide HR initiatives and improvements.
  • Model health and safety standards in the workplace.
  • Contribute to the achievement of Zero Harm in SHEQ.

Requirements

  • Diploma/B.Tech/B.Degree in Human Resource Management or similar.
  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in HR within a medium-sized company.
  • Experience with Sage VIP People is advantageous.
  • Registration with SA Board for People Practices is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies and processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to analyze and interpret HR data.
  • Proactive attitude and accountability for service delivery.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to build rapport with employees and managers.
