Major Gifts Associate - Remote

Overview

The Major Gifts Associate supports and collaborates deeply with the Deputy Director of Major Gifts and the Director of Fundraising to raise the major gifts portfolio within the organization’s larger movement-driven fundraising model, centering donor-organizing practices and relationship-based fundraising.

In Short

• Support the Deputy Director with major donors and prospecting.
• Develop subject matter knowledge within assigned embedded programs.
• Support project management of stewardship and solicitations for major donor pipeline.
• Work with the Deputy Director and Senior Writer to translate program objectives into major donor language.
• Compile and draft content for campaign appeals and donor acknowledgment letters.
• Drive overall prospect research for the team.
• Support moves management process for all major, mid-tier, and planned giving donors.
• Forecast donor revenue and capture data in Salesforce.
• Support event planning strategy and co-design visual fundraising campaigns.
• Advocate for Community Change within the community.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of development experience in a non-profit environment.
• 2-3 years' experience in donor and stakeholder outreach.
• Superb writing and editing skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office, and Salesforce.
• Knowledge of professional fundraising standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Problem solver with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to build trusting relationships.
