Overview

The Family Advocate engages in collaborative partnership building with enrolled families and provides comprehensive case management services, in accordance with Office of Head Start Performance Standards & Regulations and HS & ELP policies and procedures.

In Short

  • Engage with families to provide case management services.
  • Work with HS & ELP departments on various child development areas.
  • Conduct home visits and family assessments.
  • Maintain family files and ensure data integrity.
  • Facilitate parent groups and outreach activities.
  • Monitor enrollment and health information.
  • Participate in training and professional development.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of community resources for low-income families.
  • Remote work may be required based on supervisor's direction.

Requirements

  • Degree or certification in Human Services or related field.
  • Experience in case management and working with families.
  • Bilingual skills preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Products and data entry.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Must be able to travel to various HS & ELP sites.
