Senior Software and Integrations Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Software & Integrations Engineer to build and scale our core insurance technology stack. In this critical individual contributor role, you will be a primary developer of our policy life cycle management system and an architect of our agentic AI workflows and data pipelines that connect our broader ecosystem. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in API integrations, LLMs, backend development, and Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance systems, combined with a passion for building next-generation insurance AI infrastructure.

In Short

• Serve as a core engineer for our underwriting platform (Federato).
• Architect and build robust data pipelines and REST APIs.
• Write clean, production-level code in TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Java, and SQL.
• Design and scale multi-agent workflows for our autonomous decision engine.
• Build seamless human-in-the-loop pathways for complex cases.
• Collaborate with CTO and product owners for technical solutions.
• Perform root cause analysis and optimize database performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering or data engineering.
• Strong experience in TypeScript and/or Python for backend development.
• 3+ years in Property & Casualty insurance with a solid understanding of policy lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with modern Insurance SaaS platforms.
• Expertise in building RESTful APIs and managing JSON data exchange.
• Familiarity with modern data stacks and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
