Overview

As a Cloud Platform Engineer at CockroachDB, you will manage and scale our cloud services and infrastructure across multiple cloud providers, ensuring reliability and quality for our customers.

In Short

• Design, build, and maintain internal and customer-facing systems.
• Increase product reliability and operational efficiency.
• Develop custom tools as necessary.
• Keep complex systems running and solve mission-critical service problems.
• Operate and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters.
• Participate in on-call rotation for production systems.

Requirements

• Expertise with cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience in analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience in software development with languages like Go, C, C++, Python, or Java.
• Experience running Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Familiarity with infrastructure tooling such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• 5+ years of professional experience and a degree in CS or related field.
