Telephone and Video Counsellor - Remote

Overview

As a remote Telecounsellor at TELUS Health, you will provide short-term counselling sessions via telephone and video calls, making a real difference in the lives of EAP clients.

In Short

• Provide assessments and short-term counselling using a brief solution-focused model.
• Refer clients to appropriate internal and external resources as needed.
• Complete detailed case notes and submit files per clinical policy.
• Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities.
• Work full time, 35 hours per week, with flexible scheduling.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and legislative developments.
• Engage in monthly supervision and weekly team meetings.
• Utilize computer systems for client appointment management.
• Must have a minimum of a Diploma Level 5 in Counselling or equivalent.
• Required experience includes a minimum of 450 clinical hours and 3 years post-qualifying experience.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma Level 5 in Counselling.
• 3 years post-qualifying experience working with clients.
• Registered membership with a professional association.
• Experience in brief solution-focused counselling and telephone/video counselling.
• Strong risk assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy including MS Office and telecommunication tools.
