Overview

The Medical Assistant in Primary Care is responsible for performing routine clinical and administrative duties to support the healthcare team and enhance patient care.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• No prior work experience required.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment.
• Critical thinking and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Six months of patient care experience can substitute for education.
• Fingerprint screening required.
• Must demonstrate accountability and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of disease processes and patient safety standards.
