Overview

This role involves assisting in the coordination of patient care under the supervision of healthcare providers, ensuring a smooth operation within the outpatient primary care setting.

In Short

  • Coordinate patient care under provider supervision.
  • Prepare and room patients for visits.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and patient history.
  • Assist in administering screening tools and wellness visits.
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies.
  • Document accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Perform clerical office functions as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and health policies.
  • May require floating between different office locations.
  • Must complete certification training within specified time frame.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or relevant experience.
  • Experience in direct patient care, including vital signs.
  • CPR certification from American Heart Association.
  • Criminal background clearances required.
  • Certification training must be completed within 120 days of hire.
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree.
  • Ability to follow established protocols and workflows.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail in documentation and patient care.
