Overview

The Business Office Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hospital’s revenue cycle, ensuring optimal financial performance and a seamless patient financial experience.

In Short

  • Oversee hospital revenue cycle operations including billing and collections.
  • Manage front-end and back-end RCM functions.
  • Ensure timely filing and follow-up on insurance and patient claims.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue cycle.
  • Lead and supervise revenue cycle staff.
  • Implement process improvements for efficiency and revenue capture.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Support development and maintenance of RCM policies and training programs.
  • Requires strong knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement methodologies.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in hospital revenue cycle management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience in hospital revenue cycle management.
  • 2+ years of leadership and team supervision experience.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance processes.
  • Experience with hospital billing systems and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and quality standards.
  • Knowledge in CMS hospital regulations and reimbursement.
