The Peer Support Specialist will provide support and advocacy for first responders, helping them navigate mental health services and community resources while fostering a culture of wellness and recovery.

Support first responders in accessing mental health services.
Provide encouragement and practical help to callers.
Document activities and maintain HIPAA standards.
Develop relationships with community agencies.
Attend outreach events as needed.
Utilize personal vehicle for travel and outreach.
Work under the direction of the Program Manager.

Maintain professional boundaries with clients.
Participate in training and education for first responder organizations.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Lived experience as a first responder or related background.
Valid California driver’s license and auto insurance.
Prior behavioral health experience preferred.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Basic to intermediate computer skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of community resources and best practices.
