Vice President of Legal - Remote

Overview

The Vice President of Legal will take ownership of customer and vendor contract negotiations and support the go-to-market team in ensuring a smooth process for prospective customers while managing other legal issues.

In Short

• Lead negotiator for complex transactions, negotiating and drafting contracts.
• Provide legal guidance to the executive and management team.
• Support the go-to-market team in negotiations.
• Interface with customers and their counsel.
• Build scalable processes for the Commercial Legal team.
• Resolve issues in commercial relationships.
• Act as subject matter expert on contract issues.
• Compose commercial reports and paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Manage outside counsel.

Requirements

• JD and member in good standing of a state bar.
• 7+ years of experience in commercial contracts.
• Experience at a leading law firm or in-house legal team.
• Experience with contract AI tools.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in healthcare, SaaS, or data privacy is a plus.
