Overview

The NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) is seeking a Network Engineer to join its IT Services Division to support the agency's core business applications.

In Short

• Establishes and maintains network performance.
• Builds network configurations and connections.
• Troubleshoots network problems and maintains network equipment inventories.
• Manages IP address inventory and auditing.
• Designs system configuration and directs system installation.
• Defines, documents, and enforces system standards.
• Maximizes performance by troubleshooting network issues.
• Administers Active Directory and manages user profiles.
• Implements firewall policies and resolves connectivity issues.
• Collaborates with vendors for troubleshooting and best practices.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in computer environments.
• Associate degree or 60 credits with three years of experience.
• Four-year high school diploma with four years of experience.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.
