Overview

The Customer Information Representative plays a crucial role in managing calls and providing information regarding parking permits for the City and State. Candidates must be energetic and capable of working in a busy call center environment.

In Short

  • Manage 500-600 calls daily
  • Provide information on parking permits
  • Work in a fast-paced call center
  • Access databases and records for information
  • Enter customer information into the database
  • Record complaints and requests
  • Make follow-up courtesy calls
  • Prepare related forms and reports
  • Perform clerical tasks as needed
  • May work remotely up to 2 days per week

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in customer service or help desk
  • Proficiency in using computers and databases
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of information technology systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve inquiries
  • Organizational and administrative skills
  • Experience working for NYC government is a plus
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
