Internal Auditor - Remote

Overview

The Internal Auditor leads complex financial cleanup projects for new clients, applying deep audit and forensic accounting expertise to resolve discrepancies, ensure financial integrity, and establish sound accounting foundations.

In Short

• Lead financial clean-up and forensic accounting engagements for new clients.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of accounting records to detect errors and fraud.
• Design and execute remediation plans for newly onboarded organizations.
• Support internal reviews of financial statements and accounting packages.
• Provide quality assurance oversight on month-end close outputs.
• Act as a liaison for financial cleanup and pre-audit activities with clients.
• Communicate findings and action plans clearly to clients.
• Collaborate with Accounting Managers and auditors for high-quality deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in audit or forensic accounting.
• CPA license required.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting systems is a plus.
