Vice President, Medical Director - Remote

In Short

• Provide strategic and operational direction for utilization management.
• Implement and monitor regional and line of business performance.
• Mentor and supervise a team of experienced Medical Directors.
• Provide clinical leadership and administrative guidance.
• Direct performance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain operational policies for the department.
• Lead the Informatics Unit and liaise with the IT department.
• Assist with utilization management-related activities.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required.
• 5+ years of managed care clinical experience required.
• Experience with health analysts and IT in developing reports.
• Ability to adjust to changing priorities while focusing on strategic goals.
• Manage multiple projects and teams to achieve desired outcomes.
• Record of Managed Care Medical and Quality Management leadership.
• MD licensed in Current State required.
• Current board certification in trained specialty required.
