Overview

The Customer Service Representative I is the initial point of contact for members of CareOregon and provides excellent customer service delivery relating to the Oregon Health Plan (OHP), Medicaid or Medicare, Group and Individual Medical, Dental, and Mental Health.

In Short

  • Initial point of contact for CareOregon members.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding OHP, Medicaid, and Medicare.
  • Assist with outbound calls to members.
  • Collaborate with various departments to enhance member experience.
  • Document communications using a Call Tracking system.
  • Maintain confidentiality of member information.
  • Meet CareOregon's Customer Experience standards.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide professional and timely service.
  • Participate in department meetings and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Preferred experience in a call center.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Strong active listening skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Research and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adhere to a set schedule.
  • Commitment to continual improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals.
