Overview

Carbmee empowers organizations worldwide to systematically measure, manage, and reduce their carbon footprint. Backed by a recent €20M Series A funding from top VCs, we are one of the fastest-growing companies in European tech with offices in Berlin and Munich - proud to be at the forefront of climate innovation. Our platform leverages AI with millions of transactional data points to help enterprise customers tackle their most complex emissions challenges - far beyond compliance.

Your Role & Mission - We’re looking for someone who thrives on making things work reliably and who gets satisfaction from catching issues before customers ever see them. If you’re passionate about quality, love managing the details without losing sight of the bigger picture, and enjoy working closely with engineers and product managers, then we’d like to hear from you.

You’ll own the quality assurance and release process end-to-end. We ship fast and iterate - your work ensures we do so responsibly, without compromising reliability or trust. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and operations to make sure what goes out the door is stable, well-tested, and meets our standards.

In Short

  • Define, own, and evolve our QA and release management processes
  • Develop and maintain lightweight, scalable testing practices (manual & automated)
  • Coordinate and lead testing efforts across cross-functional teams
  • Ensure quality gates are respected without blocking velocity
  • Own release planning and ensure smooth, predictable rollouts
  • Monitor production issues and improve our observability and response processes

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in QA, Release Management or similar roles
  • Experience in a SaaS or B2B environment
  • You are comfortable designing and running both manual and automated testing workflows
  • A solid grasp of release orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and managing staged deployments
  • You prioritize structure, clarity and accuracy in everything you do - from planning to documenting processes
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and enjoy collaborating with product and engineering
  • You have a proactive mindset & spot risks early, suggest process improvements, and advocate for the user
  • Clear and effective communication, whether it’s raising an issue or writing a test plan
  • You are passionate about business sustainability, carbon emissions management, and climate tech in alignment with Carbmee’s mission and vision
  • You are excited to join our diverse and international team in Berlin or Munich

Benefits

  • Unique & Powerful Mission - Join a fast-growing and ambitious tech company that is shaping the future of carbon management and fighting climate change.
  • Health & Wellbeing - Urban Sports Club subscription to stay healthy & fit, plus 1:1 coaching sessions with Nilohealth for mental well-being.
  • Flexibility & Work-Life Balance - Flexible hybrid or fully remote working culture. We have lovely, accessible offices in Berlin-Mitte and central Munich.
  • Team Culture – Our values - Transparency, Humility, and Accountability - create a supportive environment where work can be both meaningful and fun.
  • Connection & Networking - Summer Offsite, Winter Party, and regular team events provide ample opportunities to connect and collaborate across the company.
  • Trust & Transparency - We host monthly All-Hands Meetings, weekly newsletters, and Founders Q&As to keep everyone informed about company goals and progress.
