Accountant (m/f/d) – Full-Time - Remote

Overview

As the first in-house accountant, you will take on operational responsibility for our financial accounting and support the establishment of scalable accounting processes in a rapidly growing SaaS company.

In Short

• Conduct ongoing financial accounting (debtors, creditors, general ledger)
• Account reconciliations and maintenance of the general ledger
• Support in month-end closing and preparation of financial statements according to HGB
• Collaboration with external tax advisors
• Management of customer invoices
• Support in revenue recognition and deferred revenue for SaaS contracts
• Payroll processing and reconciliation with payroll providers
• Ensure compliance with wage tax and social security regulations
• Preparation of VAT advance returns
• Assistance with annual financial statements and audits

Requirements

• 4–5 years of professional experience in accounting
• Education or degree in finance, accounting, or tax
• Experience with DATEV
• Knowledge in financial accounting and payroll accounting
• Good knowledge of German accounting (HGB)
• Structured, precise, and independent working style
• Fluent in German, good English skills
