Entry-level communications specialist - Remote

Overview

We’re on the lookout for an energetic and creative colleague to join our communications team. The ideal person for this role does not necessarily have experience in the field but is driven to learn, improve and come up with campaign concepts that make our brand stand out on social media.

In Short

• Develop, schedule and publish content across multiple social media platforms
• Share regular updates and reporting on social media metrics, content performance and campaigns results
• Support the growth and nurturing of Canonical’s social media audiences
• Develop flair with copywriting and asset creation
• Execute A/B and multivariate growth tests
• Focus on platform and community moderation
• Create awareness on integrated campaigns and product launches
• Package Canonical’s product offerings creatively

Requirements

• Understanding of social media and communications best practices
• Hands-on knowledge of social media management tools
• Proficiency with at least four social media platforms
• An analytical eye for content performance
• Understanding of educational content funnels
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
• Affinity for planning and project management tools
• Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year
