Overview

The Specialist, External Communications will continuously evolve external communications to promote key stakeholder understanding of and engagement with Santen, a global pharmaceutical company specializing in ophthalmology.

In Short

• Plan and execute media relations and public relations activities.
• Prepare and deliver communications materials such as press releases.
• Utilize company communication channels for news distribution.
• Work closely with PR agency for strategic media relations.
• Ensure consistency in external messages with internal stakeholders.
• Conduct day-to-day administrative operations in support of the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, journalism or related field.
• Japanese native and English fluency (written and verbal).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in communications or public relations.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical affairs and regulations.
• Experience in media relations and crisis communications.
• Strong writing skills for corporate communications.
