Digital Communications Specialist - Remote

Overview

The digital communications specialist is an integral part of the Communications and External Affairs division. In this role, you will work collaboratively across the organization to integrate digital communications initiatives into a coordinated multimedia strategy.

In Short

• Develop digital content for platforms and explore new content concepts.
• Maintain the content calendar and support dissemination of social media and emails/newsletters.
• Provide ongoing maintenance of social media channels, emails/newsletters, and websites.
• Create and update a monthly analytics report.
• Develop Qualtrics forms for surveys and event registration.
• Edit, organize, and archive digital assets.
• Upload videos and webinars to YouTube and/or website.
• Participate in staff discussions and strategic planning meetings.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills and dedication to public service.
• At least one year of experience in communications, digital marketing, or related fields.
• Proficiency with MS Office, email outreach platforms, social media, and analytics tools.
• Experience producing engaging written products and knowledge of SEO/SEM practices.
• Basic video editing knowledge and experience creating engaging short-form content.
• Ability to contribute to projects and strategic planning.
• Positive, problem-solving attitude.
• Strong follow-through on assignments.
• Reliable internet connection and flexibility for using personal devices.
