Sales Representative - Steel Construction - Remote

Overview

Canam is seeking a US Based Sales Representative with a hunter mentality who is willing to knock on doors, challenge the status quo and continue to drive sales and business developed in the US.

In Short

• Promote steel joist, girders, and deck systems to new and existing customers.
• Meet business development objectives set by the Regional Sales Manager.
• Identify and qualify companies with building construction needs.
• Research targeted client profiles and develop better building solutions.
• Develop relationships with fabricators and brokers in the Northeastern US.
• Travel occasionally to maintain and build client relationships.
• Prepare complete estimates and interpret proposals for customers.
• Negotiate contractual agreements and monitor market conditions.
• Collaborate with project management and attend industry events.
• Identify new business opportunities for Canam products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering preferred.
• Five years sales experience in the steel construction industry.
• Knowledge of building construction and steel design concepts.
• Ability to understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with Google Workspace and CRM platforms.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze technical documents and financial reports.
• Excellent organizational, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of acceptable selling practices in the industry.
• Willingness to travel across the territory.
