Senior Counsel, Transactions - Remote

Overview

The Senior Counsel, Transactions will provide expert legal and strategic counsel to executives and senior management across CIBC in connection with domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, reorganizations, and other strategically important transactions.

• Provide legal and strategic counsel on complex transactions.

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in business law.

• Must be a certified professional called to the Bar in Ontario.
• Work in a hybrid arrangement, 1-3 days on-site.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in mergers & acquisitions and private equity.
• Strong judgment and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage external counsel efficiently.
• Proactive in seeking new opportunities.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Completion of attribute-based assessments may be required.
• Must comply with CIBC policies and guidelines.
