Senior Developer Experience Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Developer Experience Engineer is a role within our newly formed Onboarding and Migration team within Engineering. In this role you will play a key part in improving how we get developers from downloading our local install to the first “aha!” moment and discovering production use cases.

In Short

• Structure, develop, and maintain onboarding and technical guides and respective example GitHub projects.
• Work cross-functionally with Design, Product Management, and Engineering teams.
• Highlight friction within the developer experience that impacts adoption.
• Write code samples and own the Spring SDK.
• Extensive experience writing and maintaining production code in Java and Spring.
• Proven experience writing documentation and engaging the Java developer community.
• Build effective onboarding portals and technical guides.
• Work asynchronously with teams across timezones.
• Strong sense of “manager of one” while working within a team structure.
• Nice-to-haves include blogging or speaking within the Java community.

Requirements

• Extensive experience writing and maintaining production code in Java and Spring.
• Experience writing documentation, code samples, and engaging the Java developer community.
• Ability to build effective onboarding portals and technical guides.
• Strong collaborative skills with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage tasks independently while being part of a team.
